How to Split a Panorama for Instagram

A panorama taken on your phone is something like 4000×1200 pixels. Instagram's standard feed shows it at maybe 1080×566, which means you lose 60% of the horizontal detail. That's the whole point of a panorama — the width.

The fix: split it into a carousel where each slide is a 1080×1350 vertical slice. People swipe through and see the full image.

Step 1: Resize Your Panorama

Instagram carousel slides work best at 1080×1350 (4:5 portrait). So you need to resize your panorama:

Height: 1350px (fixed)
Width: 1080 × N px (where N = number of slides)
